Dr. Karriem Watson: Participant and Provider Engagement to Increase Diversity in Oncology Research — Insights from the NIH All of Us Research Program
Abstract: Special CDP Seminar by Dr. Karriem Watson, Chief Engagement Officer of the All of Us Research Program. The All of Us Research Program aims to enroll one million or more volunteers who reflect the diversity of the United States. Thus far, more than 50% of participants in All of Us Research Program are from racial and ethnic minority groups and more than 80% are from groups that are historically underrepresented in biomedical research. All of Us Research Program anticipates that researchers will use the participant data collected to study many different conditions including cancer, diabetes, depression, asthma, and other diseases. Dr. Watson will discuss participant and provider engagement strategies employed in the All of Us Research Program.
