To identify the pre-analytical variables in the collection and processing of blood biospecimens that have the greatest potential for confounding attempts at producing a standard and consistent plasma sample.
Questions to be answered by this workshop:
- Which pre-analytical variables in the collection, processing, and storage of blood biospecimens, for the production of plasma samples, have the greatest impact in confounding its molecular analysis?
- What types of experiments are needed to test the impact of a particular pre-analytical variable in the collection, processing, and storage of blood biospecimens for the production of a plasma sample?
